I absolutely love Ibiza, it always feels like home and I've spent lots of time there ever since I lived there for a while as a baby. I always wonder how different life would have been if we'd stayed.
When the Ibiza destination wedding enquiry landed, I immediately checked out the venue 'Fincadelica" and was like "wow" !!
I kept everything crossed for a few days which made driving a struggle! It was definitely worth it, as the man from Delmonte said yes !!!
As the summer here had been so wet, I thought I'd arrive a few days early to acclimatise (well, that was my excuse).
I had visions of sitting on my balcony, finishing off my previous wedding photos. That obviously didn't happen, especially when I saw the lineup for Pacha and a DJ I've been doing press shots for was headlining Camelphats night. I thought it would be rude not to swing by!
It was so good to see Massano in full flow to a sold out Pacha. I had great time and too much Tequila so it took me quite a while to find my hotel after getting a bit lost in Ibiza town. I spent the next coupe of days in my element, travelling around and sunset seeking.
The venue- fincadelica Ibiza
I popped by on my travels to check the venue out before the church rehearsal and was absolutely blown away. The decor and attention to detail everywhere was out of this World.
There was a flurry of activity which had been going on all night due to a badly timed storm.
Kirsty the boss lady at Dancing tiger events had so much to do but very kindly gave me a tour and a heads up of the spectacle in progress. Thank you Kirsty.
The wedding
The Wedding morning was so incredibly hot for September. When we got to The Ink House everyone was in great spirits and understandably chilling by the pool. Once we got back to Fincadelica we could see all the finishing touches being added and it looked incredible. We caught up with Natalia and her Mum in the Tower.
This wedding just kept giving, it was just way beyond incredible. So many friends and family had come from most corners of the globe. Australia possibly the furthest. We could see how close the bond Hugo and Natalia had with their friends and family and was so lovely for us to capture. All the speeches had us in stitches, got delivered so well and felt by everyone, couldn't help laughing whilst capturing the reactions. The party was absolutely mega and the production off the scale !! Don't think I've never been surrounded be so many party animals (of all ages) at a wedding before, and hats off to the bar crew who absolutely had their work cut out keeping the party going at this level. We left just after 2:30 am (to charge batteries and backup images before day 2 ) when the busses started to arrive taking the party animals off to Glitterbox.
